   Dean Emerita, North Dakota State College of Science



Barbara Bang has over 42 years of experience in higher education. She was an associate professor, a department chair and in 2000 was named the dean of the Technologies & Services Division at the North Dakota State College of Science. As dean, she worked very closely with faculty and business and industry by developing partnerships and strategies to help meet workforce needs in manufacturing, transportation and construction. In 2017 she was honored as NDSCS Dean Emerita.

Barb was a past-president of the National Council for Workforce Education Board and is currently an at-large board member. She helped develop curriculum and is teaching for the NCWE New Workforce Professionals Academy. Barb is a long-time member of Alpha Delta Kappa, an international honorary organization of women educators. She served on the North Dakota Executive Board of the American Council on Education's Office of Women in Higher Education and was a member of the American Technical Education Association (ATEA). She has an AAS degree from NDSCS, a BS degree in Technical Education from the University of South Dakota and a M.Ed. in Educational Administration from North Dakota State University.
