Core Skills Mastery (CSM) is a FREE web-based, contextualized foundational skills course that simultaneously addresses math, literacy, problem-solving and thinking skills, independent learning, and affective issues such as persistence, motivation, and confidence. CSM's unique curriculum builds skills for college completion and for decision-making in the workforce, while its adaptive instruction can raise even students with deep remedial needs to this level. CSM continuously assesses cognition, learning and affect on a problem-by-problem basis in order to provide highly differentiated instruction and provides data to inform highly strategic instructor intervention. CSM can be used as standalone, bridge or supplemental instruction in secondary, post-secondary, workforce development and employee training, and is suitable for career pathways, STEM and sector-based programs.
