Through program realignment and the removal of traditional silos, colleges develop clear pathways from adult education programs (ABE, ESOL, GED, etc.) to postsecondary workforce education. Strategies to remove barriers that impede movement from entry-level to advancement include:
- building bridges between basic education and professional-technical workforce programs;
- and, developing internal articulation between non-credit and/or non-matriculating credit to credit.
