Position Title: Dean of Business and Applied Technology/Vocational Director
The Dean of Business and Applied Technology provides leadership to the professional and technical programs and administrative oversight for all elements of program operation within the division, which includes North and East Snohomish County. The Dean manages the development, maintenance, and evaluation of department functions to support the achievement of college educational goals within budgeted funds and personnel, and integrates program resources with the collegeâ€™s mission. Will directly supervise full-time faculty, associate faculty, and staff for the following programs: Accounting, Business, Business Technology, Computer Systems, Computer Literacy, Cosmetology, Economics, Perkins Program, Prior Learning Assessment, Tribal Enterprise Management, Vocational Certification, Worker Retraining and additional grants.
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications: Masterâ€™s degree from an accredited institution and at least five years of demonstrated leadership in professional-technical education, or management experience in business/industry, K-12, or higher education.

The Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM) is seeking a Director of Workforce Development whose role will be to leverage CCAMâ€™s resources and industry contacts to help regional partners establish an industry-centric, high performance workforce that makes Southern and Southwest Virginia the site of choice for advanced manufacturing firms. The founding and organizing partners consist of: Rolls-Royce North America, the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, Virginia State University, Canon, Chromalloy, Newport News Shipbuilding, Sandvik Coromant, Sulzer Metco, and Siemens. CCAM is projected to have more than 30 member companies, making it a strong base through which to attract companies to locate in the Virginia Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission Tobacco Commission (TIC) footprint. The TICâ€™s mission is to use proceeds of the national tobacco settlement to promote of economic growth and development in tobacco-dependent communities.
